Description

The "Teatro Sociale" was built by the architect G. B. Gorresio and inaugurated in 1851. It had three tiers of boxes in addition to the upper gallery that was intended for the less well-off. There was a large curtain depicting Apollo and the Muses. For decades he hosted operas, comedies, romantic dramas, operettas, evenings of honor, conferences, concerts and rallies. It was also thought for schoolchildren that in this way there are attend the afternoon performances of important shows. It was renovated in 1887 and now in 1933. A continuation of the construction of other rooms and the development of the cinema is progressively abandoned until the final closure. In 1978, a continuation of a snowfall exception, the roof collapsed and found itself unused in a state of total abandonment.
