«He occupied a prominent place among the entrepreneurs who gave impetus and growth to the national industry. Director and co-owner of the Rivarolo Canavese cotton mill, with a new production organization, he transformed the factory into one of the first of its kind in Italy and abroad. At the age of 19 he was associated, together with his brothers, at the Manifattura di Rivarolo Canavese, with administrative duties, from his industrial father in cotton and linen fabrics. In 1867, together with his brother, he started the Manufacture of S. Giorgio Canavese. Then he also took over the management of the Serravalle Scrivia cotton mill. In 1876 he founded the spinning of Cuorgné. Subsequently he founded the anonymous company of the Manifattura di Rivarolo and of S. Giorgio Canavese. He was elected deputy from the XVI to the XX legislature. He was a member of the Council for the examination of customs tariffs and commercial treaties. In 1900 he was appointed senator. With a testamentary disposition in a particular title, he left large sums of money for charitable works to the municipality of S. Giorgio Canavese and the nurseries of Cuorgné, Rivarolo and Caluso. »
