The historical origins of the Silky Art in San Leucio date back to the year 1789, when Francesco De Negri, Genoese Textile Master, wanted by King Ferdinando, settled in San Leucio to work in the Real Colony of Silk, founded a few kilometers from the Royal Palace of Caserta right from Ferdinando IV King of Naples then king of the two Sicilies.
