Rare bank title of Credito Piemontese issued in Turin on February 19, 1920. The bank was regulated in 1911 under the name of Piemontese Cooperative Credit. It changed its business name to Credito Piemontese in 1918, becoming a limited company. The bank immediately became important and passed from a Catholic leadership group - which also includes the noble Luigi Caissotti of Chiusano and the jurist Francesco Saverio Fino - to the liberal financiers Giovanni Agnelli (1866-1945) and Riccardo Gualino (1879-1964), then only between 1921 and 1924, the year in which the institute was absorbed by the Italian Agricultural Bank, which entered its liquidation in 1932.
