The CVA, Circolo Velocipedisti Alessandrino is a social promotion association based in Alessandria. It aims to promote the use of two wheels as an element of individual and social mobility, to contribute to the development of eco-sustainable choices for the community, and to promote the recovery of local historical memory through the knowledge and dissemination of the first activities of fast-moving circles Alexandrians.
"Alexandria is the city that can boast the most brilliant past of Italian cycling, indeed it could be considered the cradle ...": this is how the magazine "La Lega" wrote in 1909, recalling that thanks to CVA and its President Carlo Cavanenghi the city had also become the seat of the Italian Velocipedistica Union, ancestor of the current Cycling Federation.
